July 7, 2004 Wayne County Speedway THE NIGHT STARTED OFF PRETTY GOOD AS WE DREW A #5 FOR QUALIFYING POSITION. THE TRACK CHANGED QUITE A BIT BEFORE WE WENT OUT AND WE MISSED THE SETUP A LITTLE BIT AS WE WERE TRYING SOME NEW THINGS TO FIND SOME MORE SPEED. WE QUALIFIED WITH AND 18.0 SECOND LAP. NOT MUCH YOU CAN DO WITH THAT JUST GO OUT AND RACE HARD. WE STARTED 6TH IN THE HEAT AND FINISHED 5TH BUT WERE WITHIN STRIKING DISTANCE OF SOME OTHER CARS JUST RAN OUT OF TIME. AT FEATURE TIME WE WERE TO START IN THE 7TH POSTION AS WE RAN THERE MOST OF THE NIGHT UNTIL A SPIN IN TURNS ONE AND TWO CAUSING US TO GO TH THE TAIL. FROM THERE RACED BACK TO THE 7TH SPOT WHEN JAC NEVILLE SPUN AND TOOK THE TAIL WITH TWO LAPS TO GO, WHILE UNDER CAUTION JAC RAN OVER THE BACK OF OUR CAR FLATTENING THE RIGHT REAR TIRE, SO WE CHANGED THE TIRE AND RETURNED TO THE TAIL OF THE FIELD AND WERE RACING JAC AGAIN AND WE PULLED A SLIDE JOB ON HIM COMING OFF OF TURN FOUR AND JAC MUST HAVE STILL BEEN PRETTY CLOSE AS WE BUMPED BRAKING HIS RADIUS ROD, SO WE FINISHED THE NIGHT IN THE 7TH POSTION. NOT A BAD NIGHT BUT STILL NOT WHAT WE THINK THE TEAM IS CAPABLE OF.
June 26, 2004 Fremont WE WENT TO RUN WITH THE BIG BOYS AND IT SHOWED. WE DIDNT DRAW A VERY GOOD QUALIFYING PILL A 43 WHICH HAD QUALIFYING IN THE 23 STARTING POSITIONING. AFTER A SPIN ON THE FIRST LAP OF QUALIFYING WE ENDED UP WITH 28 QUICK QUALIFYING TIME. THE TRACK WAS REALLY SLICK AND WE THE DRIVER AND MECHANIC MISSED IT A BIT. WE STARTED IN THE VERY LAST ROW OF THE HEAT AND WERE UP TO 7. OF COURSE THEY WERE ONLY TAKING 5 FROM THE HEAT. THIS MEANT WE HAD TO RUN THE B-MAIN. WELL WHEN YOU RUN WITH THE 410'S THEY LINE EVERY THING UP BY QUALIFYING TIME. THIS MEANT STARTING IN THE LAST ROW AGAIN (14). WELL THE TRACK WAS STILL PRETTY SLICK AND WE SHOULD PROBABLY HAVE TAKEN A LITTLE GEAR OUT OF THE CAR BUT IT ENDED UP WORKING OUT OK ANYHOW. WE DID THE BEST WE COULD FROM THAT POSITION AND RODE HOME TO A 10 PLACE FINISH. NOT A HATEFUL NIGHT BUT DEFINITELY A LEARNING EXPERIENCE. WE'LL BE BACK AGAIN.
June 18, 2004 Attica Raceway Park NOT MUCH HAPPENED AS WE GOT HOTLAPS IN AND THE LIMITED LATE MODEL MAKE UP FEATURE GOT UNDER WAY AND SOME ONE TOOK OUT AN ELECTRIC ENDING THE PROGRAM FOR THE NIGHT.
June 4, 2004 Attica Raceway Park OUR DRAWING WOES CONTINUED AS WE DREW A 42 FOR THE STARTING POSITION IN THE HEAT RACE, WHICH ALSO MEANT STARTING DEAD LAST AGAIN THIS YEAR. NOT TO WORRY THOUGH AS THE CAR AND MOTOR WERE GREAT AND WE RODE HOME TO A 4TH PLACE FINISH AND REALLY PESTERING THE 3RD PLACE CAR AT THE FLAG STAND. WE STARTED 13TH IN THE FEATURE AND WERE UP TO ABOUT 9TH OR SO EARLY AND BACK PEDALED FROM THERE AS THE SETUP WAS OFF A LITTLE AND I SHOULD HAVE MOVED TO THE TOP OF THE RACE TRACK SOONER AND DIDN'T. WE ENDED UP POPPING A HEADER GASKET CAUSING THE MOTOR TO POP AND CARRY ON SO I PULLED IN FINISHING 16TH.
May 22, 2004 Fremont Speedway WELL THE NIGHT STARTED OFF AS MOST DO FOR US WITH ANOTHER REALLY HIGH PILL DRAW. A 91 OUT OF A POSSIBLE 100. THEN THE SOD INSPECTOR MANDATED THAT WE RUN A DIFFERENT TYPE OF MUFFLER SO WE HAD TO CHANGE THOSE AS WELL AS TAKE OUT HYDRAULIC WING SLIDER OFF. WE THEN WENT OUT FOR HOTLAPS WHERE WE LOST ONE OF THE NEW MUFFLERS. BACK TO PITS AGAIN FOR MORE REPAIRS. I STARTED TENTH IN THE HEAT RACE WAS UP TO LIKE SEVENTH WENT THE MOTOR WENT SOUR SO BACK IN I CAME, WE ENDED UP BREAK A ROCKER ARM AND THE MAG HAD JUMPED TIME. WE BEARLY GOT ALL THE REPAIRS MADE IN TIME FOR THE 3 B-MAIN. I WAS THE LAST CAR ONTO THE RACING SURFACE. I STARTED 10 AND ENDED UP FINISHING 7. CAR SEEMED TO HANDLE REAL WELL JUST NEED TO GET THESE BUGS WORKED OUT SOON. ITS STARTING TO GET REAL EXPENSIVE NOT MAKING THE SHOW. OH YEAH BY THE WAY THERE WERE 84 SPRINTS IN THAT DIVISION LAST NIGHT.
